Centred Counselling and are members of the British Association
of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and BAPCA.
The North London Counselling Partnership is a group of counsellors
who have rooms in Central, North and North West London. As experienced
counsellors and therapists we have come to appreciate that human beings are
far more unhappy than one thinks. The experience of living includes
inevitable darkness, loss, disillusionment, ageing, isolation,
meaninglessness, painful choices and relationship difficulties.
It is the counsellor’s or therapists intention to identify and help
remove the obstacles that prevent people from living a more
fulfilled life.The NLCP provides a space where you can come
and talk about things you don’t ordinarily want to discuss.
People sometimes decide to close certain parts of themselves
and may profit from the experience of being seen and heard.
As counsellors and therapists we realise how people's very existence can be
needlessly consumed by shame, we are not there to judge. As
the therapist Irvin Yalom says:
“We are all in this together and there
is no therapist and person immune to the inherent tragedies
of existence".
